Murad Karimi

CEO & Founder

Murad Karimi founded Mosaic Management in 2012. In addition to his responsibilities as CEO, Murad is most actively involved in Mosaic's investor relations, growth and strategy within the franchising and real estate industries. Prior to founding Mosaic, Murad has worked overseas in defense contracting and hospitality real estate development.

Murad serves on Emory University’s Board of Visitors, The Carter Center’s Board of Councilors, and is an active member of YPO Southern 7’s chapter.

Murad received a BBA from George Washington University and an MBA from Emory’s Goizueta Business School, where he has guest lectured in graduate finance classes.

Richmond Bernhardt, CFA

CFO & Partner

Richmond Bernhardt joined Mosaic Management as a Partner and CFO in 2017. Richmond is active in all aspects of the firm’s management and investment process. Prior to joining Mosaic, Richmond was the Portfolio Manager for a real estate private equity fund platform that focused on water and environmental assets. Richmond’s group managed three dedicated funds, which raised and deployed $300 million of institutional equity capital in more than 80 projects across 14 states. Previous experience also includes investment banking, equity sales and trading, and alternative investments.

Richmond received a BA in Economics from Vanderbilt University and is a CFA charterholder.

Sara Bruce, MSHRD, SHRM-CP

Director of Human Resources

Sara Bruce joined Mosaic Management as Director of Human Resources in 2018. Sara is responsible for supervising and providing consultation for all human resource activities in Mosaic. She specializes in strategic planning, workforce compliance, leadership coaching and development, benefits, talent acquisition strategy, data analysis and employee relations. Prior to joining Mosaic, Sara brings over 10 years of experience in People Ops across various managerial roles leading strategic operations for scalability and growth.

Sara serves as Cookie Chairperson with Girls Scouts of Greater Atlanta and Chairperson with Atlanta International School Worldfest.

Sara received a BA in Digital Media from Temple University and a MS in Human Resources Development from Villanova University.

Rob Nalecz, MBA, PMP

Chief of Staff

Rob Nalecz joined Mosaic Management as Chief of Staff in 2024. Rob is responsible for creating and managing administrative, financial, and operational efficiencies. Prior to joining Mosaic, Rob worked as a Senior Program Manager and Project Manager in the material handling industry. He has managed multimillion-dollar projects across engineers, finance, and clients as well as implemented resource management and ERP systems.

Rob received a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Georgia State University and an MBA from University of Florida

Anthony Hui

Associate

Anthony Hui joined Mosaic Management as an Associate in 2022. Anthony oversees the operational analytics and long range planning for Mosaic’s portfolios. Additionally, he assists in the due diligence, valuation, and integration of acquisitions and dispositions. Prior to joining Mosaic, Anthony worked at two large restaurant franchisors in Development, Operations, and Consumer Analytics.

Anthony received a BS in Biomedical Engineering from Pennsylvania State University.

Hala Moddelmog

Hala Moddelmog is a business and civic leader with decades of experience in President and CEO roles of national consumer and non-profit organizations, including Arby’s, Church’s Chicken, and the Susan G. Komen Foundation. She currently serves as the CEO of the Metro Atlanta Chamber of Commerce. As the first female President and CEO of the Chamber, Hala works on behalf of more than 15 Fortune 100 companies across the Atlanta region. She has also served as a corporate director for publicly traded companies and as a board member for blue-chip non-profit organizations.

Ramzanali Karimi

Ramzanali Karimi has over 40 years of experience in the real estate, oil & gas, and telecommunication industries. Ramzanali is the Founder & CEO of M2Z2 COM, Inc. and until June of 2018 was a shareholder and Director of United Cellular, a preferred Sprint dealer with more than 90 locations in 11 states. Ramzanali has acquired, developed and managed over 100 gas stations, office buildings, shopping centers, and land development projects in over 5 states and 3 countries.

Mark Bell

Mark Bell is a Managing Principal of Diversified Trust in the Atlanta office. Previously, Mark served as Chief Investment Officer and a Managing Director for BlueArc Capital Management, an alternative asset manager for family offices, where he remains a Director. Mark began his career with McKinsey & Co. and subsequently was Director of Strategy at D.E. Shaw & Co where he developed the organization’s private equity investment strategy and helped launch the firm’s reinsurance business.

Thomas Smith

Thomas Smith holds a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Illinois at Chicago. He is considered an expert in the areas of labor economics, the economics and finance of entertainment and sports, pricing and market formation, and global macroeconomics. He is currently a Finance Professor and Economist at Emory University in Atlanta, and runs an economic consulting group, TMS Economic Consulting, Inc.
